About the artist

Hailing from Mill Valley, California, Kajsa attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC, where she graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Painting (with a minor in bumming cigarettes).

In September 2000, she participated in the art exhibition, “Painting The Line”. In October 2002, she had her first solo exhibition, “Out of Line”, at the alternative gallery space, Palet, curated by founder Jim Prell. Her work can be found in the publications Stationaery, Art Revolutionaries, and numerous personal collections.

She has worked with galleries, artists, photographers, and fashion designers. She spent 13 years producing photo shoots and exhibitions, wrangling models, massaging egos, and collecting a few fantastic stories along the way.

She continues to explore the delicate and awkward poses of her subjects, deconstructing landscapes and exploring linear and liminal compositions, drawing inspiration from her photography, which she is currently compiling for a future art publication.
